Also, we have an appearance of Zazu - the bird, the blue hornbill in the animated film - landing in front of the young Simba. This time, he is white. We didn't hear how John Oliver voice the live Zazu but same as the other characters, everyone feels entitled that he should meet or exceed Rowan Atkinson's job.

Directed by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast), the live-action remake of "The Lion King" will be in cinemas July 19, 2019. In 100 days, the king will arrive.

One thing I crave on this new trailer really - and I'm dying to see this meerkat and warthog since the first teaser was released - is of course, my favorite tandem and Simba's adoptive parents and bestfriends, Timon and Pumbaa. The two appeared in the middle of the trailer when they are walking with Simba, also remaking that iconic scene of the three having the moon as the backdrop.

NEW! "The Lion King" Official Trailer is Out!

Now that we have the first full-length trailer, the bar will be set so high on how the voices of Donald Glover and Beyonce Knowles-Carter will turn out as Simba and Nala. Definitely, Disney is preparing for it as we know that they can never mute Simba and Nala until the movie releases as fans all over the world are already anticipating for it. Well, count me in- can't wait.

Voicing Timon and Pumbaa is Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen, respectively. Both comedians, I have nothing but no expectations of them as I want to be surprised on how they will keep the balance and pull off my favorite characters of the film.

Bias as I am now, the best part of the trailer, and I guess Disney knows that I am not the only one who is shaking for these two, is the last part wherein Timon and Pumbaa was just singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". That scene alone hyped me up! I want 3D tickets now. AWimoweh awimoweh awimoweh awimoweh 🎶 #LSS

Scar, Mufasa's brother; Simba's paternal uncle, appeared first in the dark then with a bunch of hyenas - and of course with a scar. Believe me there is a scar. Though it is hard to tell there as it cannot be easily recognized as how it is in the animated film, there is a scar. While it is exciting to see how Scar look like in the live action, some netizens expresses their disappointment on how Scar was dubbed. Admittedly, not as menacing and powerful as how Jeremy Irons did Scar in the animated film, I still believe that Chiwetel Ejiofor - the new voice of Scar - will bring the movie's main villain into a new and different heights. Besides, he has been in theater and movies since he was 15 and had won several acting awards and nominations so I'm pretty sure he knows that must nail it.

Scar, Timon and Pumbaa's First Look!

04.11.2019

When everyone is going gaga with the upcoming, highly-anticipated movie Avengers: Endgame, here is Disney swiping the trending lists as they dropped the new full-length trailer of The Lion King, a live action remake of the well-loved 1994 animated musical film.

In this new trailer, James Earl Jones, the original and still the voice of Mufasa, Simba's father, delivered a powerful line to give way to the introduction of Scar - "Life's not fair, is it my little friend? While some are born to feast, others spend their lives in the dark, begging for scraps."
