Top 14 Performance Review

And then it happened - American Idol 2018 Top 14 first LIVE Performance! As some cannot get over with last week's cut, the bar was set so high for the Top 14 as they sang for America's votes, Sunday night, April 14, 2019. But who stood out and proved that they deserve their Top 14 spot? Here's my review for last night's perfomance:

Wade was one of the Idols where most went ballistic that he made it through the top 14. But not in my case as I am happy that he is a part of it because I am fan of his raspy voice. Hate to admit it but this was his most decent performance. I feel that he need to push a little more to shut his bashers up.

The way he maximize the stage was spot on. But vocally... naaahh. He just didn't connect - JUST for this performance. Again, THIS perfomance ALONE.

Uche

"Finesse" by Bruno Mars

WOW! What can you expect from an Uche performance?! He is the Idol that when you put him out there, whether you like it or not, he will gonna blow! He will let loose! It was really very entertaining, outstanding and of high quality. This will inspire a lot of peeps - including his co-Idols! That is definitely an IDOL PERFORMANCE!

And speaking of a performance screaming "Hey, I'm still here!" Laci cannot be ignored. That performance was full of class. She knows her element.

And American idol says goodbye to...

Laine Hardy

"That's All Right" by Elvis Presley

OH MAN! This retail associate is not in my top 5 but slowly he is sneaking in to kick out one of my bets. He is doing his runs like it's nobody's business. And the last part where he let his voice soar was the best. He is really growing on me! Great job!

Let me break it down for this barbie doll. First, she has stage presence. Second, she has personality. Third, she definitely have a pretty voice. Fourth, she has the looks of course. Fifth, it was a safe performance. So safe that I felt that I am not watching Idol.

Riley Thompson

"Suds in the Bucket" by Sara Evans

Wade Cota

"Trouble" by Ray LaMontagne

What a brilliant way to end the night! His charms are working. It is a big song but he handled it well. He is so hypnotizing that I am just smiling while watching him perform and made me feel good when he smiled at the camera. This kid should be in everyone's radar now. He can pull off a suprise!

I don't know if it's the nerve or the pressure of being the first one to perform that got into him but Laine's a little stiff on stage, though his voice and looks are still on point. I've seen his previous performance and this is the only time when the way he move on stage did not compensate what his voice had given.

Dimitrius Graham

"Perfect" by Ed Sheeran

I was never her fan but it will never stop me to see that the lady has it! Though she seems hesitant with this performance. Thought I will get that spunk that I know she have in the middle of the song but she left me hanging.

POWER! She is not playing I'm telling you. She is 17 and she is dead serious about this and she will get that Idol title.

Being the most bashed Idol this year, Evelyn did want to prove her non-believers that she deserved the spot on the Top 14. And suprisingly, I am not bored by this one. I am not saying that she will grow on me as an artist but yaassss great improvement! I hope she will be consistent.

Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon

"We All Fall In Love Sometimes" by Elton John

My sentimental favorite Alyssa just served the right recipe for the night. This performance is such a breather provided as she is always on my radar. Her best so far!

Eddie Island

"Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John

Laci Kaye

"I Miss You" by Blink 182

Madison Vanderburg

"Fallin'" by Alicia Keys

An A-LISTER! Can you believe that it took me like 7 replays of his performance before I write my comment? Though I already know what to say, his performance is just mesmerizing that I don't want to get over it. He is that good. Oh no not good... he is that GREAT!

Ashley Hess

"Fix You" by Coldplay

This is his sexiest performance ever! He made One Dance a baby-maker song! It doesn't have that power but his voice and the way he attack the song and the way he move just made me groove into it and feels like... TF! I wanna get laid now! Like "Alejandro, hit me up!"

Alyssa Raghu

"She Used To Be Mine" by Sara Bareilles

Walker Burroughs

"Climb Every Mountain" from The Sound of Music
